The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Buddy Frank
Buddy D. Frank, 73, 124 S. Green St., Mendon, died at 6:39 a.m. May 25, 2008, at Lima Memorial Hospital.
He was born Aug. 22, 1934, in Mercer County, to Oatis Roy and Jessie Irelan Frank. On May 24, 1957, he married Vivian Emans, who died Dec. 16, 2002.
Surviving are four sons Carl (Cathy), Mendon, Paul (Leeann) and Rob (Carla), all of Rockford, and Todd (Valerie), Celina; a daughter, Melinda (Eric) Stetler, Rockford; three sisters, Janice Myers, Fostoria, Trolus (Tom) Kahn, Craigville, Ind., and Vernie Osborn, Bluffton, Ind.; eight grandchildren, two stepgrandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Deceased is a brother, Bobby.
He retired from Dana Corp. in Fort Wayne, Ind., and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He graduated from Willshire High School in 1952.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Cisco Funeral Home, Celina. Burial is at the Mendon Cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
