The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Vincent Pax
Vincent Paul Pax, 74, of Dayton, died May 26, 2008, in Dayton.
He was born in Dayton on Jan. 14, 1934, to Edmund and Frances Pax. His first wife, Christina Redavide and his second wife, Susan Pax are deceased.
Survivors are three sons, Ed (Diane), Platte City, Mo., Steve (Kathy), Dayton, and Joe (Chris), Columbus; three brothers, Leonard (Lillian), Mesa, Ariz.,Charles (Ruby), Columbus, and LaVern (Shirley), Pickerington,; nine sisters, Mary Catherine Brunswick, Minster, Norma Irwin, and Bernadette Disque, both of Cincinnati, Ruth Leugers, St. Marys, Madonna Issen, Birmington, Ala., Florentine (Don) Cafferky, Fairfax, Rita (Norman) Klosterman, Celina, Barbara Geiser, Fostoria, and Edwina (Gordon) Meyer, Huber Heights; and six grandchildren.
Deceased are an infant daughter, Leanna Marie; a brother, Richard; and a sister, Juanita Schindler.
Funeral Mass is 11 a.m. Friday at Precious Blood Catholic Church, Dayton, with cremation to follow.
Calling is 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the George C. Martin Funeral Home (North Dayton Chapel), Dayton, and one hour prior to service at the church.
