The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Judith Wical
Judith Ann "Judy" Wical, 59, of Wapakoneta, died at 3:12 p.m. Sept. 25, 2008, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
She was born July 5, 1949, in Lima, to Earl and Patricia Cogan Weigel. Her father is deceased, and her mother and stepfather, Tom Veit, survive in St. Marys. On Oct. 17, 1970, she married John C. Wical who survives.
Also surviving are four children, David E. of Wapakoneta, John A. (Michelle) of Piqua, Rick (Adrienne) of Beavercreek, and Mary P., at home; a brother, Steve Weigel, St. Marys; a stepbrother, Tom Veit, Louisville, Ky.; a stepsister, Teresa Veit, Reynoldsburg; and two grandchildren.
She worked 35 years as a registered nurse at JTDM Hospital, where she was supervisor of the coronary care unit and later the ambulatory surgery unit. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wapakoneta, where she was a lector and played in the handbell choir. She served as coordinator and treasurer of Auglaize County Special Olympics since its inception and was a member of the Auglaize County Board of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities, New Bremen.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. James Russell officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home, Wapakoneta.
