The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Ruth Behr
Ruth Ann Behr, 71, of Eastview Drive, Fort Loramie, died at 4:45 p.m. Jan. 3, 2009, at Wayne Hospital, Greenville.
She was born April 1, 1937, in Rossburg, to Frank G. and Christina C. Guggenbiller Leugers. On Aug. 23, 1958, she married Cletus A. Behr, who died April 2, 2002.
Survivors are three sons, Michael (Lin), Fort Meyers, Fla., James (Lisa), Maria Stein, and Donald, Fort Loramie; two daughters, Kathryn, Fort Loramie, and Mary (Gerald) Kolvek, Sidney; three brothers, Robert Leugers, Fort Recovery, Clarence "Chuck" (Sue) Leugers, Versailles, and Marion "Mike" (Mary) Leugers, Greenville; two sisters, Janet Leugers, Versailles, and Carolyn Leugers, St. Sebastian; and seven grandchildren.
Deceased are a son, Mark; and a granddaughter.
She was a registered nurse and retired in 1992 from Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy. She had worked at various hospitals in critical care, the emergency room, nurses training and quality assurance. She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, Fort Loramie, and its St. Ann's Ladies Sodality. She also was a charter member of the Fort Loramie Rescue Squad. She was a 1955 graduate of Mississinawa Valley High School and St. Elizabeth School of Nursing, Dayton.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church, the Rev. Steven Shoup officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery.
Calling is 3-8 p.m. Wednesday and 9-10 a.m. Thursday at Gehret Funeral Home, Fort Loramie.
Contributions can be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or the Fort Loramie Rescue Squad.
