The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Jane Jackson
E. Jane Jackson, 80, formerly of 3 E. South St., New Bremen, died Dec. 20, 2009, at 9:55 A.M. at Briarwood Village, Coldwater.
She was born on Aug. 30, 1929, in Hartford City, Ind., to Paul and Miriam Manor Johnsonbaugh. On July 25, 1947, she married William Jackson, who survives.
Other survivors are two daughters, Mariann (Ray) Sanders, New Knoxville, and Teresa (Michael) Williman Van Wert; a son-in-law, Charles Ayers, Denver, Colo.; five grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a daughter, Rosamond Ayers; and two brothers, Paul and Richard Johnsonbaugh.
She and her husband owned and operated the former Jackson's Jewelry in New Bremen for over 40 years. She was a member of the St. Paul United Church of Christ, New Bremen, and was a life member of the New Bremen Historic Association. She was a graduate of Hartford City High School.
Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Becky Erb Strang officiating. Burial is at the German Protestant Cemetery.
Calling is 9 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at the church.
