The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Lavern Rindler
Lavern S. Rindler, 86, St. Henry, died at 10:40 a.m. Oct. 31, 2011, at the Gardens at St. Henry.
He was born Jan. 1, 1925, in Cranberry Prairie, to Ferd and Mary Bohman Rindler. On Oct. 5, 1948, he married Dolores H. Huber, who died Sept. 30, 2001.
Surviving are seven children, Madonna (Frank) Woeste, St. Henry, Ralph (Janet) Rindler, St. Henry, Roger Rindler, St. Henry, Karen (Don) Schoenherr, Coldwater, Joyce (Ken) Hemmelgarn, North Star, Randy (Barb) Rindler, St. Henry, Robert (Sandi) Rindler, St. Henry; 10 in-laws, Alfons (Lois) Stammen, North Star, Lorena Rindler, Coldwater, Rita Stammen, Fort Recovery, Ruth (Carl) Stammen, St. Henry, Mildred Siefring, Coldwater, Dorothy Barga, North Star, Betty (Tony) Feltz, St. Henry, Paul (Barb) Huber, North Star, Frank (Diane) Huber, North Star, and Louis (Janie) Huber, Versailles; 25 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Joseph and Paul Rindler; two brothers, Vitalis and Eugene Rindler; a sister, Esther Stammen; and two grandchildren.
He was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church and its men's society. He was a lifelong farmer.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church, the Rev. David Zink officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery, North Star.
Calling is 3-8 p.m. Wednesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater, and 9-10 a.m. Thursday at the church.
