The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Gilbert Sturwold
Gilbert J. Sturwold, 78, Newport, died at 6:40 a.m. at Heritage Manor Nursing Center, Minster.
He was born Feb. 12, 1933, in St. Patrick, to John and Mary Dwenger Sturwold.
Surviving are four brothers, Clarence Sturwold, Vandalia, Ralph (Mary Ann) Sturwold, Fort Loramie, (twin) Wilbur Sturwold, Russia, and John (Marlene) Sturwold, Minster, and a brother-in-law, Warnie Alexander, Florida.
Deceased are three sisters and spouses, Marilyn and Virgil Gaerke, Norma Alexander and Irma and Charles Wendein; and two sisters-in-law, Helen Sturwold and Mary Jane Sturwold.
He was a member of the U.S. Army and served in Korea and Orleans, France.
He was a heavy equipment hauler for Frantz Brothers Construction and worked part time hauling milk for Larger Brothers.
He was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Newport, and was a member of Minster Eagles.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Calling is 4-8 p.m. Tuesday and 9-10 a.m. Wednesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.
Memorials may be made the church or to State of the Heart Hospice.
