The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Dorothy A. Barga
Dorothy A. Barga, 78, North Star, died April 15, 2012, at her home.
She was born May 4, 1933, in Osgood to Frank H. and Hedwig Schulze Huber. On Oct. 24, 1953, she married Othor H. Barga, who died May 2, 2001.
Surviving are three children, David (Joyce) Barga, Mark (Jeanette) Barga and Debra Barga, all of North Star; seven siblings, Rita Stammen, Sharpsburg, Ruth (Carl) Stammen, Burkettsville, Mildred Siefring, Coldwater, Betty (Tony) Feltz, St. Henry, Paul (Barb) Huber, North Star, Frank (Diane) Huber, North Star, and Louis (Janie) Huber, Versailles; three sisters-in-law, Luella Echemann, Sidney, Ella Mae Barga, Union City, and Melva Barga, North Star; two brothers-in-law, Brother Adrian Barga, Carthagena, and Duane (Lucy) Barga, North Star; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Deceased are four siblings and spouses, Eleanor and Virgil Schoenlein, Norbert Huber, Dolores and Lavern Rindler and Pete and Dorothy Huber; 10 in-laws and spouses, Melvin Stammen, Elmer Siefring, Theodore Echemann, Thelma and John Welch, Mary and Otto Grieshop, Si and Mary Barga, Vernon and Helen Barga, Ivan Barga, Eugene Barga and Rev. Louis Barga; and a half sister-in-law and spouse, Dorothy and Leonard Ayette.
She was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church, North Star, the St. Ann's Sodality, and North Star American Legion Auxiliary.
A Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church, the Rev. David Zink officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. today at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, St. Henry, and 9-10 a.m. Thursday at the church.
