The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

John Meyer
Former Celina resident John S. Meyer, 88, of Delaware, died May 20, 2012, at Cherith Care Center of Willow Brook.
He was born May 21, 1923, in Celina, to Harry and Ocie Fast Meyer. In 1950, he married Aldyth Barber, who survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Judith Clancy of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Cynthia (Rick) Schlichting, New Providence, N.J.; a daughter-in-law, Joanne Meyer, Delaware; and six grandchildren.
Deceased are a son, Jeff, and a brother, Lee Meyer.
He was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Delaware.
A 1941 graduate of Celina High School, he was called to service with the U.S. Army Air Corps while attending Ohio Wesleyan University and assigned primarily in the China-Burma-India Theater. Following the war, he returned to Ohio Wesleyan and received a bachelor's degree in education in 1949.
Calling is 3-5 p.m. Tuesday at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Delaware, where a memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. with the Rev. Ward Cornett III officiating.
A second service is 2 p.m. Wednesday at Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home, Celina, the Rev. Douglas Meyer officiating. Burial will follow at North Grove Cemetery, Celina, with military rites by the Mercer County Veterans Association.
