The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Ruth Houser
Ruth F. Houser, 77, West Bryant, Ind., died Nov. 7, 2012, at her home.
She was born Oct. 14, 1935, in Bryant, Ind., to Raymond and Veronica Minch Wagner. On June 17, 1955, she married Richard Houser, who survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Mike Houser, Bryant, Ind., David (Cindy) Houser, Decatur, Ind., and Stephen (Michelle) Houser, Decatur, Ind.; three daughters, Patty (Lee) Stephens, Portland, Ind., Cathy (Bob) Reef, Berne, Ind., and Connie (Brad) Aker, Portland, Ind.; three brothers, Jim Wagner, Florida, Eddie Wagner, Celina, and Don Wagner, Portland, Ind.; six sisters, Betty Laux, Bryant, Ind., Barbara Weigel, Coldwater, Connie Lehman, Coldwater, Judy Miller, Union City, Virginia Chacon, Florida, and Trudy Poling, West Milton; 15 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She graduated in 1953 from Bryant High School and belonged to Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Bryant, Ind. She retired in 2004 from Bing Lear Manufacturing, Berne, Ind., and worked on the family dairy farm.
Funeral services are 11 a.m. Monday at Baird-Freeman Funeral Home, Portland, Ind., Rev. David Hoying officiant. Burial will follow at Gravel Hill Cemetery, Bryant, Ind.
Calling is noon-5 p.m. Sunday with a scripture service at 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorials may be given to Family Lifecare Hospice, Berne, Ind.
