His family was blessed with over an hour and a half with him before he went to his heavenly home at 8:55 a.m. He experienced holding hands with his mommy and daddy, hugs and kisses from his family, and being told "I love you" an uncountable number of times.
James is deeply loved by his mommy and daddy; big sisters, Grace and Katie; and big brother, Thomas.
He is survived by his maternal grandparents, Matthew and Mary (Koesters) Cahill; his paternal grandparents, Lester and Dolores (Clune) Hartings; and his maternal great-grandparents, Patricia (Cahill) Slavik and Marie (Koesters) Ranly. In addition, he has many aunts and uncles, over 40 cousins and many others that love him deeply. James will always remain his parents' precious son and Grace, Thomas, and Katie's little brother. They will hold him again in heaven one day.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Henry Catholic Church, St. Henry, the Rev. Benedict Magabe officiating. Burial will follow in St. Henry Catholic Cemetery.
A reception and continued fellowship will be held in the undercroft of the church immediately following the graveside services.
