The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Richard Subler
Richard A. Subler, 80, North Star, passed away at 4:28 a.m. June 10, 2013, at The Gardens in Celina.
He was born Jan. 30, 1933, in North Star, to Alfred H. and Opal C. Henry Subler.
He is survived by a brother, Bruce (Darla) Subler of North Star; sisters, Dianne Hemmelgarn of North Star, Suzanne Budde of Maria Stein and Elaine (Vernon) McEldowney of Centerville; a brother-in-law, Jack Feverston of Centerville; numerous nieces and nephews; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Feverston; brothers-in-law, Ed Hemmelgarn, Al Hemmelgarn and Walter Budde; and a sister-in-law, Rita (McEldowney) Subler.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He retired from New Idea in Coldwater with 48 years of service. He was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church in North Star, the Holy Name Society of the church and the North Star American Legion. He was an avid NASCAR fan and went many years to Daytona and loved going to Eldora Speedway.
A Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Louis Catholic Church, North Star, the Rev. David Zink celebrant. Burial will follow at the church cemetery with military graveside services by the North Star American Legion.
Calling is 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home in Versailles and 9-10 a.m. Friday at the church.
Memorials may be given to State of the Heart Hospice.
