The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Maurice Bornhorst
Maurice P. Bornhorst, 83, Minster, died June 26, 2013, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Minster.
He was born Aug. 31, 1929, in Philothea, to Paul and Margaret Stelzer Bornhorst. He married Viola C. Meyer Nov. 4, 1950, in St. Patrick. She preceded him in death July 2, 2011.
He is survived by his children, Mike (Helen) Bornhorst of Russia, Sandy (Chris) Delzeith of St. Henry, Jeanne (Tim) Niekamp of New Bremen, Bill (Deb) Bornhorst of Egypt, Joan (Nick) Sherman of Minster, Mark (Mary) Bornhorst of Minster, Dave (Deb) Bornhorst of Minster, Elaine (Dick) Huber of Minster, Rose (Rolly) Schmiesing of Egypt, Don (Kim) Bornhorst of Minster, Paul (Shelly) Bornhorst of Minster, Maurice (Shelley) Bornhorst of Fort Loramie, Joe (Ann) Bornhorst of Minster and Richard (Molly) Bornhorst of Minster; 54 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren, brothers and sisters, Eileen and Lester Poeppelman of Minster, Josephine Bornhorst of St. Henry, Ann Gross of Coldwater, Jerry and Charlene Bornhorst of Kerrville, Texas; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Lawrence and Helen Meyer of McCartyville; and sister-in-law, Phyllis Meyer Poeppelman of Minster.
He was preceded in death by an infant son; a grandchild; a brother, Charles Bornhorst; an infant sister, Rosemary Bornhorst; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Lavern Gross, Vernon and Delores Meyer, Cleona and Victor Wyen, Bob and Wilma Ernst, Kenneth Meyer, Walter and Vera Arling, Irene and Eugene Schmiesing, John Meyer, Joseph Meyer, Mary Meyer, Alberta Meyer, Carl Meyer and Margaret Meyer.
He was a member of St. Augustine Church in Minster, a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War and a lifelong farmer.
A Mass of Christian Burial is 9:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Augustine Church in Minster, the Rev. Rick Nieberding celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Augustine Cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Friday and 8:30-9 a.m. Saturday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Minster.
