The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Harold Quickle
Harold "Pete" Quickle, 89, St. Marys, died at 7:22 p.m. Oct. 18, 2013, at Lima Memorial Hospital.
He was born Aug. 1, 1924, in Hillsboro, the son of Dana and Florence (Frazier) Quickle. On Aug. 9, 1947, he married Lillian Storer, who survives.
Also surviving are four daughters, Diana Hirschfeld, St. Marys; Kathy (Doug) Duncan, St. Marys; Barbara Eshleman, St. Marys; and Rebecca (Greg) Adams, St. Marys; 10 grandchildren, Heather Schwendeman, Tiffany Davis, Amanda Young, Aaron Adams, Shawna King, Tyler Hirschfeld, Megan Duncan, Dustin Adams, Brandon Eshleman and Zachary Duncan; 20 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Richard Quickle, Hillsboro.
Deceased are siblings, Edgar Quickle, Roger Quickle, Virginia Main and Violet Baker.
He was a 1943 graduate of Marshall High School. He had worked at the former Weston Paper Mill in St. Marys and retired from New Knoxville schools, where he served as a custodian. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, St. Marys. He enjoyed fishing and coon hunting. He raised champion coon dogs and also had a mower repair business.
Services are 10 a.m. Wednesday at Miller Funeral Home West Chapel, St. Marys, the Rev. Jon Kraner officiating. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery.
Calling is 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, where memorial gifts may be given to Grace United Methodist Church.
