The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Ralph Bomholt
Ralph Bomholt, 86, Celina, died at 1:12 p.m. Dec. 31, 2013, at Celina Manor Nursing Home.
He was born June 27, 1927, in Mercer County, to Otto and Monica Fortman Bomholt. On Oct. 27, 1949, he married Mildred Wendel, who died Oct. 2, 2007.
Surviving are three sons, Frank (Sarah) Bomholt, Hamilton, Robert (Michelle) Bomholt, Jasper, Ind., and Doug Bomholt, Celina; two daughters, Susan (Ralph) Weitzel, Celina, and Peggy (Doug) Hennessey, Brooklyn, Mich.; 11 grandchildren, Andy, Mike, Betsy, Ryan, Kevin, Keith, Meagen, Heather, Rachel, Ross and Caitlin; and three great-grandchildren, Liam, Lydia and Tony.
Deceased is a sister, Edna Penny.
He was the retired owner-operator of Frank Bomholt & Son. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Celina. A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, he also was a member of the Maria Stein American Legion Post 571, the Chickasaw Veterans of Foreign Wars and Knights of Columbus 1800. He loved vacationing with his family and attending sporting events of his grandchildren. Christmas was his favorite time of the year.
Services are 10 a.m. Saturday at Immaculate Conception Church, the Rev. Kenneth Schnipke officiating. Burial will be at St. Marys Catholic Cemetery, with military rites conducted.
Calling is 2-7 p.m. Friday and 9-9:45 a.m. Saturday at Cisco Funeral Home, Celina.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Immaculate Conception School or the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
