The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Edward Kaiser
Edward A. Kaiser, 99, Moyock, N.C., formerly of Fort Recovery, died Jan. 27, 2014, in Moyock.
He was born Aug. 16, 1914, in Minster, to Henry E. and Emma Huber Kaiser.
On Oct. 26, 1935, he married Dorotha Faller in Fort Recovery, and she died May 24, 2000. On Nov. 9, 2002, he married Phoebe Hofer Hudak Kaiser, who survives in Moyock.
Also surviving are a daughter, Margaret "Peg" (Otmar) Bergman, Celina; two sons, Bob (Barbara) Kaiser, Hamilton, and Chuck (Linda) Kaiser, Cincinnati; two sisters, Marcella Hemmelgarn, Celina, and Rosella Hierholzer-Moorman, St. Henry; a brother, Herb (Rosemary) Kaiser, Coldwater; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Elaine Kaiser, Washington Township, Mich.; stepchildren, Linda (Rich) McDonald, Sparta, N.J.; Tom (Barb) Hudak, Garner, N.C.; Joe (Donna) Hudak, Moyock; and a sister-in-law, Eileen Schmitz, Fort Recovery.
He was preceded in death by a son, Jerome Kaiser; one grandchild; four brothers, Leo, Bernard, Joseph and Richard Kaiser; and two sisters, Stella Broering and Luetta Reichert.
He retired from the U.S. Postal Service as a letter carrier after 30 years of service. He was a real estate broker in Fort Recovery and former director of Mercer Savings Bank, Fort Recovery. He was a member and Past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus, Fort Recovery, and served on the Maria Stein Retreat House board of directors and its debt reduction committee. He was a member of Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Fort Recovery.
A funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, the Rev. Thomas Dorn officiating. Burial will be in St. Marys Cemetery, Fort Recovery.
Calling is 4-8 p.m. Friday and 9-10 a.m. Saturday at Brockman-Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery. A Knights of Columbus prayer service will be held at 7:45 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
