The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Lucille Gertz
Lucille Temple Gertz, 95, Celina, passed away Jan. 30, 2014, at The Laurels of Shane Hill, Rockford.
She was born Dec. 1, 1918, in Van Wert County, the daughter of William Clark and Nettie Frye Temple. On April 9, 1940, she married Walter Gertz, who died Feb. 21, 1985.
Surviving are nieces and nephews.
Deceased is an infant son.
She was a 1937 graduate of Rockford High School. She was a homemaker and worked for many years with her husband at the former Harry Wolfe Coal & Hay Co. in Celina, where she was a bookkeeper. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Celina, and the Ladies Circle. She was interested in genealogy and was a member of the Mercer County Chapter of the Ohio Genealogical Society. She loved to cook and enjoyed crocheting, needlepoint, traveling and flower gardening.
Services are 11 a.m. Monday at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home, Celina, the Rev. Jeff Gramza officiating. Burial will follow at Swamp College Cemetery, Celina.
Calling is 2-4 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to services Monday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. John Lutheran Church, Celina.
