The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Bryan Schlater
Bryan A. Schlater, 30, North Star, died at 6:35 a.m. Sept. 8, 2014, at his home.
He was born April 8, 1984, in Coldwater, to Ronald and Karen Bensman Schlater, who survive in St. Henry. On March 7, 2009, in Chickasaw, he married Mandy Bruns, who survives in North Star.
Also surviving are two children, Parker and Kinley, both at home; four siblings, Matt (Krissy) Schlater, Dublin, Craig (Abby) Schlater, St. Henry, Kyle (Julie) Schlater, Fort Recovery, and Lynnea Schlater, St. Henry; five nieces and nephews; Mandy's parents, Dan and Mary Bruns, Chickasaw; a sister-in-law, Shelly (Corey) Thobe, Delaware; and grandfathers, Ken Schlater, St. Henry, and Lester Bensman, Coldwater.
Deceased are grandmothers, Phyllis Bensman and Marilyn Schlater.
He was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church, North Star. He was a 2003 graduate of St. Henry High School and was employed at Master Machine Rebuilders, New Bremen.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Louis Catholic Church, North Star, the Rev. David Zink officiating. Burial will follow at St. Louis Cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Thursday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Russia, and 9-10 a.m. Friday at the church.
