The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Harry Brewer
Harry E. Brewer, 76, New Bremen, died at 12:21 p.m. Sept. 8, 2014, at his residence.
He was born Sept. 20, 1937, in New Bremen, the son of Robert W. and Lidwina Stegeman Brewer. On July 7, 1956, he married Ruth Kitzmiller, who survives in New Bremen.
Also surviving are his children, Cheryl Overly, St. Marys, Charles (Tina) Brewer, New Bremen, Bob Brewer, Casstown, Barbara (Mike) Britenriker, Archbold, and Christina (Terril) Collier, Dayton; 15 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are two grandchildren, and a son-in-law, Edward Overly.
He was a member of the Church of the Holy Redeemer in New Bremen, the New Bremen Rod and Gun Club and the Fraternal Order of Eagles 1391, Minster, and served on the Western Ohio Rail Authority Board. In 1995, he retired from United Dairy Farmers, New Bremen, where he had been the maintenance supervisor. He enjoyed his time wintering in Florida, following NASCAR racing and, most of all, spending time with family.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Church of the Holy Redeemer, New Bremen, the Rev. Thomas Mannebach officiating. Burial is at German Protestant Cemetery, New Bremen.
Calling is 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home, New Bremen, and 9-10 a.m. Friday at the church where rosary will be prayed.
