The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Duane Barga
Duane L. Barga, 82, Rossburg, passed away of natural causes on Sept 23, 2014, at Briarwood Village, Coldwater.
He was born Dec. 6, 1931, in Rossburg, to Victor and Anna Mangen Barga. On Oct. 27, 1965, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Egypt, he married Lucy Bruns, who survives.
Also surviving are six children, Mary Jo (Jerry) DeMange, Greenville, Joseph (Vicky) Barga, Burkettsville, Nicholas Barga, Rossburg, Michael (LeAnn) Barga, Canal Winchester, Timothy (Carrie) Barga, New Weston, and Sharon Sanders, Mechanicsburg; 12 grandchildren; a sibling, Brother Adrian Barga, Carthagena; sisters- and brothers-in-law, Melva Barga, Rossburg, Janice (Jim) Slankard, Huma, Ariz., Mike Bruns, Fort Loramie, Ruth Bruns, Dayton, Vicki (Bob) Leimbach, Vermilion, Rita (Leon) Hemmert, Botkins, and Paul (Becky) Bruns, Maria Stein; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Deceased are 10 siblings.
He was retired from dairy farming since 1998. He also had worked at Eikenberry's Grocery and the Stemley Canning Co. He attended St. Louis Catholic Church and had been active in the Men's Holy Name Sodality. He was a 3rd & 4th Degree member of St. Denis Knights of Columbus and a past member of Farm Bureau Council.
In his leisure he enjoyed playing cards and following pro baseball and Ansonia Tiger sports. He also was a fan of Indiana Hoosiers basketball.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Louis Church, North Star, with the Rev. David L. Zink officiating. Burial will follow at St. Louis Cemetery.
Calling is 2-7 p.m. Sunday at Gehret Funeral Home, Fort Loramie, and 9-10 a.m. Monday at the church.
Memorials may be given to Heartland Hospice or a charity of the donor's choice.
