The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Janet Koverman
Janet May (Leugers) Koverman, age 74, formerly of Thelma Drive, Minster, passed away Wednesday evening, March 25, 2015, at the Heartland of Piqua in Piqua, Ohio.
She was born September 7, 1940, in Minster, Ohio, to the late Ed and Mary (Vonderheide) Leugers. Janet married Donald D. Koverman who preceded her in death.
Surviving are two sons: Rick & Deanna Koverman of Tega Cay, SC and Dan Koverman & fiance Misty Iddings of Minster; two grandsons, Nathan and Daniel Koverman; three siblings: Ed & Sonia Leugers of Minster, Janice Otting of Minster, Marilyn & Jerry Siegel of New Bremen, and a brother-in-law, Mike Monnin of Minster.
She was preceded in death by three siblings: Doris & Jim Frock, Rosie Monnin, David "Ben" Leugers; and brother-in-law, Joseph Otting.
Mrs. Koverman was retired from Copeland Corp. of Sidney where she had been employed more than 40 years. She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church and the Minster Eagles Ladies Auxiliary. Janet enjoyed traveling, horse races, and visiting with her family.
Funeral Services will be 10:30 AM, Tuesday, March 31, 2015, at Gehret Funeral Home in Fort Loramie with Rev. Rick Nieberding presiding. Interment will follow at German Protestant Cemetery in New Bremen.
Friends may call Monday 4:00 to 8:00 PM and Tuesday 9:00 to 10:00 AM at Gehret Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
