The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Ruth Ann Craft
Ruth Ann Craft, 76, formerly of Saint Marys, died 10:25 A.M. Monday, August 21, 2017, at Otterbein Saint Marys Retirement Community.
She was born May 19, 1941, in Lima, Ohio, the daughter of Gale and Helen (Goodwin) Polen. She married Carl Craft on August 28, 1957, and he preceded her in death on November 7, 2001.
Ruth is survived by her children: Richard (Tina Wycuff) Craft of Saint Marys; Tom (Allison) Craft of New Bremen; Scott (Claudia) Craft of Fort Worth, Texas; Lisa (Mark) Graves of Saint Marys; Sherri (Kevin) Brown of Saint Marys; Renee (Tony) Schmehl of Saint Marys. She is survived by 15 grandchildren, whom she loved to watch play sports, and 31 great-grandchildren. She loved their smiles and hugs. She is also survived by her siblings: Sharon Felver of Van Wert and Greg Polen of Celina.
She was preceded in death by her parents; by her husband, Carl Craft; by her grandson, Garet Schmehl; by her siblings: Gayle Schaff and Pat Polen.
Ruth retired after 35 years of service from the Huffy Manufacturing Company in Celina. She was a graduate of the Dayton Medical Massage Therapy School. Ruth enjoyed bowling, boating, playing cards, baking, and attending her grandchildren's sporting events.
Funeral rites will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday, August 24, 2017, at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Saint Marys, Pastor Andrew Atkins, officiant. Private family burial rites will be held at a later date.
Friends may call from 11:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M., at which time the services will begin at the funeral home.
