The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Dorothy Puthoff
Dorothy A. "Dot" Puthoff, age 74, of Chickasaw, died Thursday, October 25, 2018 at St. Rita's in Lima.
She was born April 26, 1944 in Cincinnati. On February 23, 1963 she married William "Bill" Puthoff and he survives in Chickasaw.
She is survived by her children, Don "Beatle" & Dee Puthoff of St. Marys, Denise & Don Hartings of Chickasaw, Jamie & Larry Weisman of Centerville, and Russ & Patti Puthoff of Chickasaw; eleven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and her mother Marie (Froning) Powell. She is preceded in death by her parents Julius & Viola Froning and Glenn Powell. Other survivors include Rita Kittle, Charles & Ann Froning, Gene Powell, Dennis & Jennifer Powell, Larry Powell, Mike & Cathy Powell, Lisa Kremer, Brian Powell, Lora & Roger Wellman, Sandi & Dan Feltz, Wanda Powell, Pat Dresher, Mary & Larry Hensley, Deb & Tim Ontrop, Tim & Lynne Puthoff and Ann Puthoff.
She is also preceded in death by Ruth & Don Deitsch, Paul Kittle, John Powell, Jeff Kremer, Tom Puthoff, Mick Puthoff, Jim Puthoff and Bill Dresher.
She was a member of Precious Blood Church, Chickasaw and the ladies sodality of the church. She worked in the offices of Mercer County Community Hospital for almost 30 years. Her pride and joy was her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren and loved attending their extracurricular activities.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 am Monday, October 29, 2018 at Precious Blood Church. Burial will follow in Precious Blood Cemetery.
Friends may call from 1 to 6 pm on Sunday and 9 to 9:45 am Monday at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.
In Lieu of flowers and gifts the family would like memorials made to Parkinson's Foundation.
