The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Mary Jane Miars
Mary Jane Miars, 88, of Saint Marys, died 5:40 P.M. Tuesday, December 11, 2018, at Vancrest of Saint Marys Nursing Home.
She was born March 23, 1930, in Celina, the daughter of Kahle and Elizabeth (Miller) McComb.
She is survived by her children: Thomas (Deborah) Miars of Panama City Beach, Florida; Susan (Ken) Davis of Saint Marys; Linda (John) Klosterman of Saint Marys. She is also survived by her four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; by her former husband, Robert Miars; by a son, Steven Miars; by a sister, Ruth Slusser-Bertholf. She was also preceded in death by her longtime companion, Andrew Dixon.
Mary Jane graduated from Immaculate Conception High School, Celina, Class of 1948. She retired from Wapakoneta Products. Mary Jane grew up attending IC Church in Celina, and was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Saint Marys. She liked to go fishing, and loved animals, especially cats.
Private family burial rites will be held 1:00 P.M. Friday, December 14, 2018, at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
Memorial gifts may be sent to SART, P.O. Box 146, Saint Marys, to help feed rescue cats.
Condolences may be sent to Mary Jane's family via Millerfuneralhomes.net. Miller-Long and Folk Funeral Home, 314 West High Street, Saint Marys, is entrusted with her arrangements.
