The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Terry Sullinger
Terry L. Sullinger, age 74, of Mendon, passed away on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, in the Emergency Department at Wayne HealthCare in Greenville.
He was born December 15, 1947, in Celina, to Robert Sullinger and Kathryn S. (Leonard) Sullinger, who both preceded him in death. Terry and E. Elaine Lugabihl were married on April 4, 1970.
Elaine survives, along with their daughter, Julie Sullinger of Columbus, and son, Josh Sullinger (Larry Miller) of Lewis Center, his sister, Lois Studer of Celina, a brother-in-law, James Lugabihl of Elida, and many beloved nieces & nephews.
Terry was also preceded in death by Elaine's parents: Helen & Leonard "Bus" Lugabihl, and a sister-in-law, Carol Lugabihl.
A 1966 graduate of Mendon-Union High School, Terry served with the U.S. Army in Vietnam, and was awarded a Purple Heart. After his military service, he earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Wright State University. He was the retired Owner/Operator of Val Aerospace of Ohio, located in Mendon. Terry was a member of the Mendon United Methodist Church. He enjoyed reading books and watching old movies, particularly those with Western themes, and he loved Gold Wing motorcycles.
Calling Hours are being held at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home in Mendon, Sunday, December 4, from 1:00 to 4:00 P.M. A Prayer Service will follow at 4:00, with Pastor Rob Glenn, presiding. A private burial will take place at Mendon Cemetery, at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: The Mendon-Union Fire Department or the Mendon Branch of the Mercer County Library.
