The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Michael Day
Michael Allen Day, 47, of Union City, Ind., was pronounced dead at 4:35 a.m. Jan. 6, 2007, at his residence. Death was due to an apparent suicide.
He was born March 27, 1959, in Portland, Ind., to Larry E. and Mary Jo Hart Day. Both parents survive in Fort Recovery. On May 25, 1980, he married Rachel R. Costlow, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Michael Allen Day Jr. and Christopher Day, both of League City, Texas; a brother, Gary, Hempstead, Texas; two sisters, Cindy (Ivan) Kaffenberger and Linda (Jim) Weitzel, all of Fort Recovery; a grandmother, Doris, Portland, Ind.; and a grandchild.
He owned a carpet cleaning business in League City, Texas. He attended Fort Recovery High School.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Brockman & Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery, the Rev. Thomas Dorn officiating. Burial is at Springhill Cemetery, Fort Recovery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Tuesday and 9:30-10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
