The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Kathy Will
Kathy "Katie" Will, 48, 2540 Watkins Road, Fort Recovery, died at 12:02 a.m. Feb. 20, 2008, at her residence. Death was due to cancer.
She was born Oct. 16, 1959, in St. Marys, to Clem and Mary Albers Poeppelman, who are deceased. Her stepmother, Phyllis Poeppelman, survives in Egypt. On May 26, 1984, she married Mark Will, who survives.
Other survivors are three sons, Alan, Fort Recovery, and Scott and Tom, at home; two daughters, Mary and Stacy, at home; four brothers, Mark (Amy) Poeppelman, Egypt, Steve Poeppelman, Minster, Tim (Karen) Magoto, Fort Loramie, and Greg (Krista) Meyer, Anna; three sisters, Carol (Tim) Will, Egypt, Barb (Scott) Gaier, Anna, and Jane (Ron) Meier, Maria Stein; and a mother-in-law, Mildred, St. Peter.
Deceased are a brother, Jerry Meyer; and a father-in-law, Luke.
She was employed at Dannon Yogurt Co., Minster, and was a 1978 graduate of Minster High School. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Sharpsburg, and its Altar Rosary Sodality, and served as treasurer of the church's religious education program.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. Charles Mullen officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Friday and 9-9:45 a.m. Saturday at Brockman-Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery.
Contributions can be made to State of the Heart Home Health and Hospice or the Cancer Association of Mercer County.
