The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Pamela LaFalce
Former Minster resident, Pamela Clare Winner LaFalce, 54, of Lexington, Ky., died Aug. 22, 2008,at her home. Death was due to natural causes.
She was born Aug. 12, 1954, in Coldwater to Clarence "Pete" and Clare Borchers Winner. On Oct. 12, 1985, she married Peter Ronald LaFalce Jr., who survives.
Other survivors are a son Samuel Peter; a daughter, Margaret Frances, both at home; four brothers, Ronald (Charyl), Indianapolis, Ind., Roger "Pete" (Sarah), Vandalia, Richard "Beetle" (Susan), and Gregory (Teresa), all of Minster; three sisters, Jane (Jim) Hatfield, Chicago, Ill., Judith Winner, and Patricia (Mike) Gavit, all of Minster; and a sister-in-law, Mary Ann Winner, Fort Loramie.
She worked in management for IBM/Lexmark, in Lexington, for more than 25 years. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Lexington. She was a 1972 graduate of Minster High School, graduated from The College of Mount Saint Joseph on the Ohio in 1976, received a master of science from the University of Cincinnati in 1979, and a master of business administration from Xavier University in 1989.
Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church in Lexington.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Tuesday at the church and 2-4 p.m. Friday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Minster. Burial is at St. Augustine Cemetery, Minster.
Contributions can be made to the Pamela Winner LaFalce Perpetual Trust for a reflection garden at St. Paul Parish.
