The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Sam Lane
Sam Lane, 70, Celina, died at 2:20 a.m. July 31, 2012, at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima.
He was born Sept. 25, 1941, in Middlesboro, Ky., to Henlin and Ethel Owens Lane. On Oct. 11, 1961, he married Pat Beougher, who survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Cheryl (Bob) Jones, Elliston, Va.; four brothers, John (Jone) Lane, Lima, David (Bonnie) Lane, Tazwell, Tenn., Ted (Carla) Lane, Palatka, Fla., and Bruce Lane, Palatka, Fla.; two sisters, Charlotte (Allan) Baker, Celina, and Pat Davis, Middlesboto, Ky.; a brother-in-law, Bill Muter, New Albany; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a son, Scott Lane; two sisters, Janice Muter and Ruth Deitrick; and a granddaughter.
He was a member of Celina First Church of God, Celina Masonic Lodge #241 F&AM, the Mercer County Sportsmen Association and the National Rifle Association.
He was retired from New Idea in Coldwater and drove bus for Celina City Schools and Cheryl Ann schools.
Funeral Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday at Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home, Celina, the Revs. Bruce Stine and Clifford Rice officiating. Burial will follow in Swamp College Cemetery in Celina.
Calling is 2-8 a.m. Thursday and 9:30-10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be given to Mercer County Cancer Association.
