The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Richard Davis
Richard Keith Davis, 80, Rockford, died at 3:45 a.m. Oct. 23, 2012, at the Laurels of Shane Hill, Rockford.
He was born Nov. 14, 1931, to Orval "Jack" and Evelyn Counterman Davis. On March 20, 1955, he married Mary Ada Everett Sheets, who died Sept. 26, 1993.
Surviving are two sons, Rick (Kathy) Davis and Steven (Crystal) Sheets, Rockford; a daughter, Dawn (Doug) Coffey, Powell; a sister, Sharon Ames, Fort Wayne, Ind.; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Also deceased is a brother, Melvin Davis.
He owned Davis Hay & Straw, Rockford, and served in the Air Force during the Korean War. He belonged to the Rockford United Methodist Church, Rockford F&AM 377 and Rockford American Legion Post 508.
Funeral services are 11 a.m. Saturday at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home, Rockford, Rev. Chip Steffy officiant. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Rockford, with military rites by the Rockford American Legion.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Friday and 10-11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be given to the Alzheimer's Association.
