The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Betty Florence
Betty June Florence, 73, Coldwater, died at 6 p.m. Oct. 22, 2012, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.
She was born Aug. 10, 1939, in Celina, to Ruel and Eathyle Kuhn Harner. On Nov. 12, 1957, she married Glen Florence, who survives in Coldwater.
Also surviving are four children; Leisa (Tim) Pearson, Mark Florence, Doug (Annie) Florence and Lorna (Rusty) Miller, all of Coldwater; a sister, Kathy (Vern) Wendel, Celina; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Deceased is a granddaughter, Carrie Florence.
She belonged to Erastus United Methodist Church and its Ladies Fellowship Society, Washington Twp. Central Committee, the Mercer County Republican Party, Mercer County Farm Bureau Advisory Council, and was an avid supporter of the Mercer County Fair.
Funeral services are 10 a.m. Friday at Erastus United Methodist Church, Erastus.
Calling is 1-9 p.m Thursday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater, and 9-10 a.m. Friday at Erastus United Methodist Church.
Memorials may be given to Tree Replacement at the Mercer County Fairgrounds.
