The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Ralph Rammel
Ralph I. Rammel, 56, Fort Recovery, died March 1, 2014, at his residence.
He was born Jan. 9, 1958, in Coldwater, to Julian Rammel and Edna Weitzel. His mother survives in Fort Recovery.
On Aug. 18, 1978, he married Bonnie Thobe, who survives in Fort Recovery.
Also surviving are two sons, Chris (Rachel) Rammel, Fort Recovery, and Scott (Emily) Rammel, Fort Recovery; a daughter, Renee (Scott) Brunswick, Fort Recovery; two sisters, Helen (Jim) Steinlage, St. Henry, and Diane Uhlenhake, St. Henry; three brothers, Jim (Jane) Rammel, Fort Recovery, Dave (Kim) Rammel, Fort Recovery, and Roger (Marilyn) Rammel, Fort Recovery; 11 grandchildren; mother-in-law, Ida Thobe, Celina; brother-in-law, Clete Nietfeld, Fort Recovery; and five in-laws, Carol Kunk, Silsbee, Texas, John (Susan) Thobe, Willow Springs, Mo., Pat (Ron) May, Fort Recovery, Joe (Deb) Thobe, Fort Recovery, and Jerry "Dutch" (Beth) Thobe, Fort Recovery.
Deceased are his father-in-law, Jerry Thobe; a sister, Bernice Nietfeld; and brothers-in-law, James Uhlenhake, Gene Kunk and Charles Breaux.
He was employed as a truck driver for Cooper Farms, Fort Recovery, and was a 1976 graduate of Fort Recovery High School. He was a member of Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Fort Recovery. He enjoyed driving his golf cart, wood working, gardening, manicuring his yard and being with his family.
A funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Fort Recovery, the Rev. Thomas Dorn officiating. Burial will be in St. Marys Cemetery, Fort Recovery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Wednesday and 9-10 a.m. Thursday at Brockman-Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery.
