The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Sharon Mott
Sharon Ann Mott, 54, 114 Beech St., St. Marys, died Jan. 8, 2008, at her residence. Death was due to cancer.
She was born Dec. 16, 1953, in St. Marys, to Richard and Stella Meadows Kohli. Her mother is deceased. Her father survives in Waverly, Tenn. On June 24, 1972, she married John W. Mott, who survives.
Other survivors are two daughters, Judith (Richard) Martin, St. Marys, and Heather (Michael) Hulatt, Celina; two sisters, Deb Kohli and Karen Bias, both of St. Marys; a mother-in-law, Florence Mott Paulus, Celina; and two grandchildren.
She was employed at Otterbein St. Marys Retirement Community in the dietary department. She was a 1972 graduate of Memorial High School in St. Marys and attended the Shekinah Temple in St. Marys.
Services are 10 a.m. Saturday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys, the Rev. Judy Ball officiating. Burial is at Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
