The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Anthony Quinter
Anthony P. Quinter, 85, state Route 705, Fort Loramie, died at 9:26 a.m. Oct. 15, 2009, at his home.
He was born Sept. 9, 1924, in Cranberry Prairie to Joseph A. and Philomena Huwer Quinter. On June 26, 1948, he married Mary Ann Mescher, who survives.
Other survivors are four children, Mark (Gloria) Quinter, Houston, Virginia (Eugene) Egbert, Botkins, Barbara Reiss, South Lebanon, and Mary (Gary) Scott, Springhill, Fla.; six siblings, Rudolph Quinter, Minster, Leona Pleiman, Fort Loramie, Albert (Dorothy) Quinter, Troy, Edna Lampert, New Bremen, Pauline Kohler, Botkins, and Maurice (Dorothy) Quinter, Fort Loramie; and a brother-in-law, Cletus Huelsman, Dayton; 16 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are eight siblings, Dorothy Dresher, Henry Quinter, Rosella Osage, Henrietta Barlage, Adelina Huelsman, Loretta Huelsman, Stella Klikovits and Robert Quinter; and two great-grandsons.
He was a farmer and a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, Fort Loramie, and frequently attended Latin Mass at St. Gertrude The Great Catholic Church in Cincinnati. He was a member of the Fort Loramie American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Sidney. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the Pacific Theater, Iwo Jima, Guam and Spain during World War II.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. Steven Shoup officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery.
Calling is 3-8 p.m. Sunday and 9-10 a.m. Monday at Gehret Funeral Home, Fort Loramie.
