The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Max Shock
Max C. Shock, 93, of Rockford, died Oct. 15, 2009, at Parkview Memorial Hospital, Fort Wayne, Ind.
He was born Oct. 16, 1915, in Blackcreek Township, Mercer County, to Ralph A. and Ivadel Dudgeon Shock. On Dec. 29, 1945, he married Dorothy Pauline Wright, who survives.
Other survivors are two sisters, Martha Jane Hellwarth, Celina, and Madge Shock, Rockford; a sister-in-law, Velma Hunt, Carol, Mich.; and a brother-in-law, Royce (Mary Ellen) Wright, Portland, Ind.
Deceased is a sister, Ruthana Hughes.
He was a farmer and a member of Rockford United Methodist Church.
Services are 11 a.m. Monday at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home, Rockford, the Rev. Chip Steffy officiating. Burial is at Riverside Cemetery, Rockford.
Calling is 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to services Monday at the funeral home
